Our Executive Team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Collaboration Partners. They oversee the consulting team on our consulting engagements and also work with clients to help ensure project satisfaction and our commitment to high quality deliverables. The Executive Team also defines our long-term and short-term strategy and executes on key strategic priorities.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Collaboration Partners’ executive team members, consulting services, expansion plans, and execution of the Collaboration Partners’ mission. She or he will initially develop deep knowledge of the organization inclusive of core programs, operations, and business plans.
Time Commitment: ~ 10 hours per month
Tasks / Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Lead the annual the strategic business planning process for the organization with the support of the Board of Directors and Executive Team.
As part of onboarding responsibilities, a short term strategic plan is to be developed and presented within the first three months of assuming position
Leadership & Management:
Ensure the successful execution of pro-bono consulting services, business development and partnerships, fundraising, and communications.
Lead, coach, develop, and retain Collaboration Partners executive team. Determine yearly goals for each executive team members and evaluate achievements at the end of the year review.
Develop and maintain a succession plan for key roles/functions within leadership team.
Engage and energize Collaboration Partners consulting volunteers and alumni, executive team, board members, partnering organizations, and funders.
For quarterly board meetings, ensure reporting of CP internal operations and consulting projects and any other required updates on strategic items.
Ensure effective systems to track strategic plan progress, and regularly evaluate consulting program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, partner organizations and other constituents.
Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships:
Responsible for short-term and long-term fundraising objectives for Collaboration Partners with support from the Board of Directors.
Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities, including attracting top talent for consulting volunteers and adequate clients for consulting projects.
Expectations / Qualifications:
Masters’ degree, with preference for MBA
Minimum three to five (3 to 5) years of professional experience, preferably in management consulting, corporate strategy, nonprofit management or similar roles
Strong preference for hands-on experience in strategy development and strategic planning and execution
Proven management experience in leading team of direct reports; excellence in organizational management with ability to coach and develop high-performance teams
Prior fundraising experience and ability to engage potential donors preferred
Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude along with a willingness to assist the rest of the Executive Team on various operational matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time and resource management skills
Enjoys relationship management and prospecting

Director, Consulting Operations – Overview
The Director, Consulting Operations ensures the successful end-to-end delivery of our pro-bono consulting projects. You will be a key contributor to delivering our top-quality services and ensuring a positive experience for all of our consulting team volunteers.
Responsibilities
Work with the Vice President, Consulting Operations to scope and prepare new project engagements, including setting up initial client touchpoints and drafting Statements of Work (SoW)
Work with the Director, Talent & Culture to staff volunteer teams for new project engagements and ensure that all consulting teams are balanced in terms of skillsets and backgrounds to successfully deliver on our consulting engagements
Act as the primary contact for our volunteer Engagement Manager and Consultants throughout the execution of project engagements and assist in creating work-plans, ensuring quality of deliverables, attending final mid-project and end of project presentations to the client
Responsible for all client relationship management to ensure a positive experience for our non-profit clients, collecting client feedback for mid-point, end of project and after project follow up within 6 months
Serve as the escalation point for the clients, ensuring that any client concerns, issues or delays are brought up to the Collaboration Partners Executive Team and Board of Directors
Serve as the escalation point for Consultants and Engagement Managers in the event any unexpected issues arise within the consulting team
Responsible to collect and upload all final deliverables to our knowledge database. Serve as point of contact for consulting team, guiding them to helpful resources
Responsible for creation of case studies for each project completed ensuring that client results and satisfaction are highlighted
Qualifications, Experiences, and Skills
We welcome applications from any individual seeking to broaden and supplement their work experience with a volunteer role or to gain exposure to the non-profit sector. Non-profit volunteering involvement is beneficial but not required.
Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or similar roles
Strong preference for hands-on experience in strategy development and strategic planning and execution
Proven management experience in leading direct reports
Self-starter with ability to work effectively in team and individual settings, including in a remote environment
Highly ethical and able to deal with confidential issues with tact & discretion
Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude along with a willingness to assist the rest of the Executive Team on various operational matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time and resource management skills
Enjoys relationship management and prospecting
You are an ideal candidate if you have a proven record of exceptional performance and possess an aptitude for leadership, critical analysis, and communication.
Time Commitment
We take our voluntary commitments very seriously at Collaboration Partners. Those who wish to apply should expect to commit an average of 3 to 5 hours a week. This time will include a bi-weekly Executive Team Meeting.
